Frequently Asked Questions

What is an IPL Photofacial?

IPL is short for intense pulse light. An IPL Photofacial leverages various light wavelengths to treat issues that are linked to brown and red pigmentation. It can effectively treat acne, dark spots, enlarged pores or Rosacea.

What does an IPL Photofacial treat?

While many laser treatments use a particular laser wavelength, IPL Photofacials use multiple wavelengths to effectively treat multiple skin issues. It can treat enlarged pores, broken capillaries, hyperpigmentation and Rosacea. It can also be a very effective acne treatment, as its blue light laser effectively kills the acne-causing bacteria.

How does an IPL Photofacial work?

One of our specialized aestheticians, certified in IPL treatments, will first clean and tone your skin with Pride’s medical grade products. Next, your aesthetician will place an ultrasound gel on the treatment area. This gel will be a protective layer for your skin. The IPL treatment will then be applied solely on the treatment area.

An IPL Photofacial typically takes half an hour.

Can anyone do an IPL Photofacial?
