  1. Avoid Retin-A or exfoliating products for at least 1 to 3 days before your Micropeel treatment.
  2. Limit your sun exposure at least a week before your treatment, avoiding tanning and tanning products.
  3. If you’ve recently undergone laser surgery or if you use Accutane, cancel your Micropeel appointment asap.
  4. Avoid the Micropeel facial 2 weeks after any other procedures like a chemical peel or filler injections and one week after Botox injections.
  5. Don’t wax the treatment area for at least a few days before your Micropeel.
  6. Keep your face clean and make-up-free face for your appointment day using a non-oil or or non-soap-based cleaner.
  1. After your treatment, clean your face gently keeping it clean and moisturized.
  2. Don’t irritate your skin by picking, rubbing or scratching it.
  3. Don’t use any harsh products/chemicals for at least a week.
  4. Avoid retinol, glycolic, alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy, topical acne creams or benzyl peroxide for at least 24-48 hours.
  5. You can continue using prescription retinoid products (Adapalene, Avage, Differin, Tazorac, Tazarotene or Retin A, Renova, Tretinoin, Avita, Alustra or other brands of Tretinoin) after 3 – 7 days.
  6. For at least a week after your treatment, don’t tan and avoid sun exposure as much as possible. Sun damage will slow down your skin’s recovery. If you cannot avoid the sun, use an SPF of 30 or higher.
  7. While you will not experience peeling from the light micropeel facial, you may experience peeling following your preceding treatment. You can use moisturizer to reduce the peeling.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Micropeel Facial?

Micropeels are a light peel that allows for extra exfoliation in the skin, following another treatment like microdermabrasion or derma planning. Micropeels help with stubborn, acne, dark spots, and help with fine lines. Every skin type can do this treatment.

What can I expect during a Micropeel Facial?

Our Micropeel Facial will be executed by one of our aestheticians certified in the treatment.

First we’ll cleanse / tone your skin with medical-grade products and once your aesthetician has done your treatment – whether it’s a microdermabrasion or derma planning – they will then begin to layer the micropeel on the surface of the epidermis.

The peel will sit for about 5 minutes then it will be neutralized.

What is the down time of a Micropeel Facial?

There is no downtime to a Micropeel; just keep skin moisturized over the next 2-3 days. Keep in mind that there may be downtime the treatment you get before your Micropeel.
