Pre-Treatment

Post-Treatment

Wash your face with a sensitive cleaner to ensure its dry at least an hour before your treatment.
Your provider will usually apply a numbing cream to reduce your discomfort.

Avoid using any product on the treated area – keeping it dry – for at least 8 hours.
You can apply petroleum ointment after 8 hours.
An ice pack might relieve discomfort and reduce swelling.
For the first 4 days, avoid tight clothing on the treated areas.
You might notice some swelling, a sandpaper feeling and a pink or red tone in the skin in the first few days following your treatment. After one week you might see patterns develop. This is normal and should over a few weeks.
Avoid abrasive products for the first weeks. Exfoliating products and skincare products with vitamin C, Retin-A, bleaching properties and acids like glycolic acid are abrasive.
Do not apply a bandage to your treated area unless it is provided and remove later by your provider.
In the first week, it’s advised to avoid sun exposure and heat as much as possible. Wear a protective SPF (30 or higher) with zinc oxide.
It is also advised not to partake in exercise activities that would cause sweating or swimming that would soak the treated area.
As long as your skin feels sensitive it’s best to avoid makeup and skincare products as much as possible and to keep the skin dry and clean.
